Not so long ago, Skoda presented the 4th generation of the famous Octavia model. Now the model has acquired the 3rd modification of the famous Octavia Scout. As before, the car is only available as a station wagon. The peculiarity of the Scout difference from the usual station wagon is the presence of aluminum lining on the bumper (front and rear), as well as the ground clearance added 15 mm. The wheel arches have received traditional plastic linings, similar linings are installed at the bottom of the doors and on the sills. Side mirrors flaunt silver bodies, the edging of the side windows is the same color. Rounding off the design of the new Skoda Octavia Scout are a pair of roof rails.
Another feature that distinguishes the new Skoda Octavia Scout is the new wheel rims with a special design. Silver 18 "alloy wheels, called Braga, are installed as standard, and 19" alloy wheels are offered as an option under the name Manaslu. If we talk about the standard equipment of the novelty, then the list includes LED foglights and the Scout brand nameplate. As an option, they offer new matrix LED headlights, which previously debuted on the regular Skoda Octavia 4.
Following the update of the exterior, the Skoda Octavia Scout interior received a revision. The front panel has acquired a 10 ″ display of the multimedia system, as well as chrome inserts on the center console. To distinguish the interior, the designers placed nameplates on the dashboard and front seats with the name Scout. The pedals were embellished with aluminum trims, and the seat upholstery, dashboard, door trims and other similar elements got brown stitching.
The dimensions of the new Skoda Octavia Scout have also been updated, now the length is 4703 mm, width is 1829 mm. Accordingly, the luggage compartment has also increased, now it is 640 liters. Under the hood of the new Skoda Octavia Scout is a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 200 horsepower and 400 Nm of maximum torque. It is the most powerful diesel engine installed by Skoda to date. Thanks to this unit, the new Skoda Octavia Scout can tow a trailer weighing up to 2 tons.
In addition to the diesel unit, the buyer is offered 5 more options to choose from. Front or all-wheel drive variants of this model are also available, but the mild hybrid can be considered as progress. In the basic configuration, the Skoda Octavia Scout received a turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 150 horses. A 6-step mechanics or a 7-step DSG robot can be installed in pair. The drive in the basic version is only front.
As for the top-end configuration of the Skoda Octavia Scout, it's more fun here. Initially, they offer a gasoline engine with a volume of 2.0 liters. The power of such a unit is 190 horses. The pair includes a robotic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. If we talk about the new diesel engine, then it can be in three modifications, with a capacity of 115, 150 or 200 horses. Such a station wagon with a 115 diesel engine is paired with a 6-speed mechanics and a front-wheel drive system. As for the rest of the Skoda Octavia Scout diesel engines, they got a 7-speed robot and four-wheel drive. The manufacturer will open the price tag for the novelty, the list of complete sets and the complete list of security systems closer to the start of sales of the station wagon.
