As it became known, the fate of the further sale of the Ford brand in Russia should be decided in the coming days. But, as experts say, the script can be bad or very bad. This fully suggests that the Ford brand in Russia will no longer be sold, as a result, the company's factories are put up for sale. Any of the following scenarios harmful to the brand on the territory of the Russian Federation. Today, further plans for the restructuring of production are being actively discussed with the country's authorities, which means that first of all the mass consumer will suffer.

If you believe the facts provided by representatives of the Ford company, then this summer in Russia will stop the production of crossovers and cars. In addition, dealerships are no longer accepting orders for new Ford vehicles. According to the manufacturer, given such a sluggish demand for the company's cars, the produced copies will be enough for sale in Russia until the end of autumn 2020. It should be understood that many of the dealerships will begin to close or change their profile (brand of sale). Factories located in Vsevolozhsk and Naberezhnye Chelny have already been put up for sale and are actively looking for buyers. These two factories produced such models as Focus, Mondeo, EcoSport and Fiesta. In all likelihood, a buyer will not be found soon, since there are enough such production capacities in the Russian Federation, and in this case the price requested for the plant will play a significant role. Experts say that Hyundai could have shown the most interest in the plant in Vsevolozhsk. The factory of this manufacturer is located nearby, in the industrial zone of Kamenka. The load on the plant is 100%, therefore, there can be no talk of expanding or producing new models of Hyundai in this region.

As for the Hyundai plant in Kaliningrad, it still uses the old screwdriver method for Korean cars. This also slows down the production of Korean cars, but the purchase of the Ford plant will require a lot of investments, so for Hyundai this is an unprofitable option for now.

Having compared the capabilities of Ford factories and the price of their purchase, the factories in Vsevolozhsk and Naberezhnye Chelny will most likely be mothballed, and the same fate will befall the plant in Yelabuga, which produces engines for cars of the brand. The last plant in Yelabuga was not spared either, its manufacturer highlighted it as a separate item, since today they assemble crossovers of the Kuga and Explorer brands.

There are also commercial vehicles of the Transit brand. There is a great chance that by the end of this year, the capacity of this assembly line will be loaded with a domestic order. They want to put on the line an assembly of representative cars of the Aurus brand, which were not so long ago officially presented to the whole world.

It is worth noting that Ford is also interested in keeping the Transit model for now, as this is a strategy for the company's business development in the European market and the neighboring countries with Russia. The problem remains with the SPIK agreement with the Russian government. If the company is still interested in the European market, not taking into account the Transit model, then there is little hope, and then with the support of Ford Sollers, although it is scanty in order to play a strategic role in the fate of the brand.

Today there is a possibility that Ford will leave the territory of Russia in a bad scenario. An official statement from Ford is expected in the coming days or even hours. In the near future, we should expect more news about the Ford factories.
