In January 2019, the updated BMW 7-Series flagship sedan was presented. During the restyling, the car received a corrected exterior and interior, as well as a modernized suspension and improved power plants. Exterior

As a result of the update, the BMW 7-Series received a completely new front end of the body. There are huge "nostrils" of the false radiator grille, for which the designers had to raise the hood edge by 50 mm.

Also, the "muzzle" of the car flaunts formidable head optics and a new front bumper with a trapezoidal air intake and aerodynamic elements.

The profile of the surviving restyling "seven" demonstrates a new chrome decor, otherwise everything is unchanged: a long hood, a domed roof, elegant sidewalls and circular wheel arches, in which R17-R21 rims can "inhabit".

The stern of the flagship sedan is now equipped with more compact side lights, connected by a 6 mm LED jumper. Also, the rear bumper has undergone a minor update, into which the manufacturer has installed a couple of foglights, parking sensors and a couple of sections of the exhaust system.

A high central tunnel passes between the seats, on which the designers have placed the gearbox selector, the iDrive system control washer, the transmission shift buttons, the parking brake activation button and a few more buttons. There are also a pair of hidden cup holders.

The rear sofa is represented by two free-standing armchairs, separated by a high console, on which there are buttons for the electric seat adjustment, a wide armrest, cup holders and a touch panel for controlling various car functions.

As an option, 10-inch displays can be installed in the backs of the seats, on which the image from the Blu-ray player is displayed. Free space here, as they say, with the head - the rear passengers can easily cross their legs.

The luggage compartment volume is sufficient 515 liters. Also note that there is no spare wheel under the raised floor, because the car is equipped with special Runflat tires.

Gasoline engines are presented:

1. basic 2-liter unit with a capacity of 249 liters. and 400 Nm of torque, which is installed on the 730i version. With it, acceleration from 0 to 100 takes 6.2 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 250 km / h. Average fuel consumption is declared at around 7 l / 100 km.
2. 3-liter engine (version 740Li) with 340 hp. and 450 Nm of thrust, which allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds and an average fuel consumption of about 8.4 l / 100 km.
3. 4.4-liter turbo engine (750i version), developing 530 "horses" and a maximum thrust of 750 Nm. With it, the sedan reaches acceleration from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds. and the average fuel consumption is about 10.1 liters for every 100 km.
4. top-end 6.6-liter 12-cylinder engine producing 585 hp. and 850 Nm of torque (24 liters less and 50 Nm more than on the pre-styling model). With such a unit, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds. and fuel consumption - 12.5 l / 100 km in mixed travel mode.

The version of the BMW 7-Series 745e stands apart, equipped with a hybrid power plant, represented by a 3-liter gasoline V6 and an electric motor, which produces a total of 394 hp. and 600 Nm of thrust.

The electric motor is powered by a 12 kW / h lithium-ion battery. With a hybrid setup, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 in 5.2 seconds. and fuel consumption - only 2.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. On electric traction alone, the car is capable of covering no more than 58 km.

Like its predecessor, the car is designed on the basis of the new modular "bogie" CLAR, which is based on high-strength steel, aluminum and carbon fiber.
